Greg Gomes is a lifelong craftsman and visionary whose journey began in 1976 with a Best of Show win for handcrafted fireplace bellows at the state fair. With a background in construction and a passion for fine woodworking, Greg quickly rose from apprentice to artisan, founding his first cabinet shop in 1989. Over the decades, he’s built a legacy of excellence—from museum-quality furniture to high-profile design features in luxury residences and landmark properties. As the founder of HEXcores, Greg brings over 30 years of experience, innovation, and artistry to every door—merging technical precision with timeless design.

As nephew to founder Greg Gomes, Jeremiah has been building and problem-solving alongside Greg since age five. He brings over 17 years of engineering leadership experience, including five years as a consulting engineer for high-rise commercial and higher education projects in San Francisco, followed by a decade as a Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer. During his naval service, he managed construction at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, served as Critical Infrastructure Manager at the White House, and oversaw a $2.4B utilities portfolio across 71 Navy installations worldwide.

Jeremiah holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, is licensed in California, and earned a Master’s in Civil Engineering. When not tackling complex challenges at HEXcores, he restores classic cars—currently working on a 1969 Chevelle—and enjoys time with his wife and three children. True to his engineering roots, he thrives on solving problems others won’t touch and continuously raising the bar.

Robert is a dedicated woodworking professional with over 36 years of experience in custom cabinetry and 21+ years in shop and crew management.

His career spans multiple leadership roles, including lead cabinet maker, shop foreman, production manager, general superintendent, and business owner. Robert has contributed to high-profile projects for hospitals, banks, restaurants, and automotive dealerships such as Lexus, Mercedes, and Lincoln, as well as technology companies including Google, Yahoo, Apple, and Facebook.

Robert’s passion for woodworking began in childhood, learning the craft alongside his grandfather. This foundation established a lifelong commitment to the trade that continues to drive his professional excellence. Outside of work, Robert enjoys time with his wife Traci and their family of six children and five grandchildren.

A born-and-raised Oakland native, Trevor discovered his calling in woodworking early in life. With 18 years of experience in the craft, he spent 13 years creating custom furniture and cabinetry before joining HEXcores. Seeking adventure, he also spent time deep sea fishing in the Bering Sea.

Self-taught and driven from a young age, Trevor developed his skills through hands-on experience. When he’s not crafting precision woodwork, he enjoys archery and plays guitar. His dedication to his craft and practical problem-solving approach make him an essential part of the HEXcores team.
